Lao Lading Island - Tiny Secluded Cove

Lao Lading Island (also called Koh Lao Lading or Lading Island) sits in the Andaman Sea near Krabi, tucked between towering karst formations. It’s reachable only by boat — typically from Ao Nang, Klong Muang, or Hong Island Pier.

Good to Know:

  • Country: Thailand
  • Distance: 650km from Bangkok
  • Position: Strait of Malaca
  • Other: Famous for limestone cliffs

Boats usually anchor on one side of the beach, leaving the other side open for swimming.

The cove is small, so it feels intimate — but can get busy during midday tours.

The water is calm and shallow, making it great for families.

Limestone cliffs create natural shade and dramatic scenery.

Best time to visit:

Early morning or late afternoon for fewer crowds
Dry season (Nov–Apr) for the clearest water and calm seas
